Volunteer with us
Quite simply, Fydell House is wholly dependent on our great team of volunteers. They are vital to everything we do.
Whether you’re interested in explaining the history and the building, meeting and greeting our visitors, helping maintain the stunning gardens, getting involved in creative activities or helping out in the tearoom and kitchen, there’s a place in the House where you can fit in.
Volunteering at Fydell House is extremely rewarding, a great way of learning new skills and making new friends. You’ll also be supporting a vibrant local community. We appreciate any time that you can offer.
We will provide full guidance, training and support. There’s no upper age limit, and no specific skills are required for a wide range of our roles.
We welcome all new volunteers.
Donations
Donations help us to preserve and promote this beautiful House as a space for all, celebrating Boston’s history and opening it up to future generations.

Leave a Gift to Fydell House in your Will
The costs involved in running and maintaining a house that’s over three centuries old can be very challenging. By including a donation to Boston Preservation Trust in your will, the charity that has owned Fydell House for 90 years, you will help to secure the future of this precious heritage asset for generations to come.
